about a month ago I posted in the newby clinic saying how bad my first SE shave was and pretty much blamed the razor. a got lots of encouragement and advice and tried again, this time with the face plate almost touching my face and the shave was smooth and comfortable! not the closest shave but certainly a nice one! I have been pulling it out every few shaves and having a go and I have found that I get a much closer shave, much easier with my trusty 1912 than with any of my DEs... I love it, I should never have judged it when it was entirely my fault. I tried to shave with a DE kind of angle! thank you to anybody that offered encouragement!
