Ciel Man is great, although it doesn't seem to get as much attention as some of the others from Amouage for whatever reason.

Honestly, I looked at the Ciel and tried a squirt.
But ended up with the Interlude as my choice.
Maybe it's not exactly a summer scent, but the blue bottle went nicely with the Aqua Velva on the counter.

i respect that. But for me the bottle is never the main selling point. If I like the juice, it's a bonus, but I'll never buy a scent based on bottle. Especially in the over $200 range. Thus why I've so far stayed away from By Kilian.
Buy the BK refills and put them into your own atomizer. 30ml for $75 isn't all that outrageous

If I find one of their fragrances that I love, I'll buy it with the coffin. I love their packaging, just not the scents.

Something about Ciel Man just sickened me. Somehow it was clean smelling in a gross way? Which is strange since I've yet to really dislike a clean scent.

i can sort of understand that. There is a bit of sourness to the middle. I can see that being a deal breaker for some. For me, I kind of enjoy it. I think it's beautifully blended. Amouage is fantastic at taking a boatload of notes and turning them into a lean fragrance.
Ciel man is the only Amouage fragrance that I own. Its an amazing summer scent. The only downside is that this is a very potent parfum. So I normally go with only one spray anymore and I can choke myself! For some reason it does not remind me of the sea or ocean as Amouage likes to picture it, but rather reminds me of an Arabian night with mint tea - a very heavy mint though!
All in all, I love it!
