American-made, durable clothing

I'm looking for some good, trusted clothing brands that are American-made. I like Filson but I don't look to them for everything because I don't have the money for it. If you know of some good brands for handsome clothing please let me know. Thanks!

Carhartt has a great reputation........ but I don't know if all (or how much) of their clothing is made in the USA.

what about llbean?

Made in China?

Carhartt has a great reputation........ but I don't know if all (or how much) of their clothing is made in the USA.

"Due to competition from other apparel manufacturers and pressure to drive down prices, many of Carhartt's non-core apparel items have been increasingly outsourced abroad. Some countries where outsourcing is and has been done are: Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, China, and the Philippines."

This is why I made my previous comment. It seems like darn near everyone is outsourcing and many of the "Made in USA" companies are outsourcing at least some of their clothes.

I do a good bit of on-line shopping and found many sites have a "search" box. If you type usa it will bring up the products made in the usa. (You can double check the description to verify usa) Then you can usually narrow the results to mens clothing, etc.

Also, I came across a site which lists many USA manufacturers of clothing, etc:

At Duluth Trading you can get a version of their Ballroom Jeans :w00t: (crouch with no ouch) that are made in Kentucky. You will pay a premium for that choice.

For low end I'd look the Pointer Brand Overalls and Jeans.

If you were looking to spend a little bit more there's always Rising Sun & Co. and Mister Freedom.

I don't have much to add to the great list, so I will just add that I live next door to where Oxxford Cloths Suits are made in Chicago...kinda neat

My Carhartt pants and jacket all say "Made in the USA." They are at least 4 years old though. Afew years ago I tried to buy only "Made in the USA" clothing and found it close to impossible.
