I was on Jose's e-mail list, and around a year ago, he sent a message saying that he was stopping to make strops because his other job was taking all of his time, or something like that. At the same time, he then started talking about an idea he had for a strop down the road. So who knows?
He no longer is making strops. He did this as a side business, he has since got a regular full time job.
It's a shame. His Spanish HH is still my favorite strop, and I've got a TM, DD, and Kanayama. Someday I'll replace the 40mm wide linen (it was one of his first strops and he had this TINY linen component) and it may become my daily strop.
I'm hoping Jose comes around again (posting as a vendor or just a shaver). What a nice guy to work with. A true gentleman for sure.
Anybody talk to Jose recently? The only contact I had for him was the email for his site.
I have one as well. Has a TON of draw, but for a razor with light grind, it's got a great feel to it.

+2 Ambrose Spanish horsehide is probably my favorite leather, thick leather with perfect draw, luckily I managed to pick up a backup on BST
Thats been on there for over a year. I remember him telling me he was going to put honing videos, etc, on there...never happened.
