Amazing Technicolour Dream Shave Stick Containers?

Okay so I've been searching high and low for shave stick containers that I could melt some of my soaps into and create sticks from. I've found some (like Mama bears) but in general the shipping cost has made them too pricey. I've also been PIFed a couple so thank you to those members who helped me out.

Then tonight while browsing Firebox.com for a present for my friend I see these:
Ice Lolly Moulds

And I thought... wait a minute. They could make GREAT shave stick containers! And so fun and colourful! I also just noticed that the drip tray serves as a lid so they have a top too and would be great for travelling with, plus 7 pounds sterling for 4 isn't bad either.

What do you all think? Would they work?

Hee hee ... I guess you could think they look a little "playful" :tongue_sm but I like the shape of the handle and think they are pretty.

heh, true enough. I am glad Ellie is a good sport about it. I don't see why they wouldn't work. Not sure it would be my first choice of containers. Do they have a cap of any kind?

Wow those are straight out of a Pink Floid concert...I've heard empty glue and deoderant sticks work well too.

The base comes off and becomes the cap/lid.
I've heard of the glue stick container too but I imagine it'd be tricky to get all of the glue out.

That's the beauty of a glue stick - just keep twisting until all the glue pops out the top! A little soap and water gets rid of the residue and you're good to go.

Oh! I LOVE them!! I also love how the cap screws off and then screws onto the base to become a handle..! I am not much for primary colors, but if those were in black or white they would be the coolest things in the world...

wonders if they glow under a black light..... wink..

How big/small are they compared to my containers Elle??

Hi Sue! Glad I'm not the only one who likes them. I agree about the fact that if they came in black they would be even nicer.
I don't own these yet so I can't tell you how they compare but if you click on the website link it shows a picture of one being held. I think they are a bit bigger than yours. I own five of your soaps but no shave sticks yet and was thinking of melting half of each of my soaps into stick form.

it says they are 110 mil... that's about 6 ounces I think.. that is too big.. man, I wish I could find these in black in 2 ounces.. that would be spectacular... man would that be spectacular... :thumbup1: I love the base/cap it almost looks like the base of a shaving brush doesn't it...?

Thanks exactly what I thought- it looks like a shaving brush handle!
Personally I don't think it looks any more ... Ehem "toy" like ... than any other shave stick. In fact the handle makes it less so. I guess the colours are a bit unorthodox though.

Oh, so you're saying too big is no good?

They looked like ice cream pop ups to me when I first saw them but Augustiner had to jump in there.

If that's what he thinks they look like he really should not look at the third picture on the linked page.

I was originally thinking they would be too big but considering you would be leg shaving I suppose you would get more coverage in less time.

Did you get around to ordering them?
