Am I the only who hates GFT Limes?

I just bought a puck of GFT Limes on the BST board.... and I cannot stand it. I find it to be very medicinal, maybe even chemically. At times I can tell it resembles limes, but most often it just seems to be very manufactured to me. Does anyone else have this experience? Could I have gotten a bad puck? How does this compare to other lime creams/pucks?

I ordered the GFT sampler too and also found the limes cream to be repugnant but not as bad as the soap.

Never tried it, but I can tell you just from the name that I hate it too, lol. I am none too fond of anything lime.

I've had a couple of lime or citrus scented soaps & creams. They are scents I get tired of real quick and the longer the scent hangs around after the shave the more I dislike it. I got rid of most of the ones I had, including CF Lime. The only "citrus" one remaining is a puck of Harris Arlington soap. The scent is mellow and the fern must tone down the citrus. It's a great soap, but still won't be replaced when gone as there are other Harris scents I like better.

Do you guys know of any soap that has a more natural lime scent?

Is this maybe the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils?

Castle Forbes Lime is like the pure essence of lime, to me. To date it is the absolute best I have ever used, out of any brand.

+1 and now that I've figured how to lather Castle Forbes creams, I may even be tempted to get the 200ml size!

I smelled their lavender in a shop the other day and literally salivated at it. For some reason I never thought to smell their lime. I'll have to get a small jar of that.

rose version of GFT soap is bad too, would never buy again

I totally agree. I just got their sampler and couldn't stand the rose. To be honest, I really didn't like most of the scents in the sampler: spanish leather, limes, gft, rose... but the almond smelled phenomenal.

I tried their GFT and rose..... Ugh! Horrible scents. I don't like those scents generally speaking but these seem especially chemical-y.

I've never used their soaps, being more of a TOBS person, but I buy their GFT Lime Skin Food aftershave. People rave about it, but I didn't find it to be that enjoyable. It seemed far too thin for me. I much preferred Baxter's of California aftershave.

QCS key lime smells exactly like the bottle of pure lime essential oil that I've got. It's definitely not a phony fragrance. QCS appears to use high quality essential oil for their lime scent. Plus, it's a whole lot less expensive than CF.

Too bad it set my face on fire, but that happens with most scented products for me. Not the fault of QCS - I'm sure the CF or GFT would be just as bad for my face.
