Alternative to shaving bowl

I have a few small glass Pyrex & Anchor Hawking bowls that I use for shaving. It really depends on the size of the soap.

I have limited shelf space so I usually buy sample soaps to try out varieties.

I don't want this to store soap...I want to put a little nugget of soap or croap in it,
add water, and use it to generate lather

I love this bowl, although I'm sure it wasn't made for shaving. It's deep enough to keep me from slinging lather everywhere, and the handle makes it easy to hold and not drop. It even has ridges, that may or may not help create lather. 🤗

my first lather bowl was a ceramic ramekin i got for a couple of bucks. it worked fine. then I got a decorated bowl that looked cool but was too smooth so I added a pattern of silicon glue "dots" that really helped. Then I got a copper Captains Choice bowl which is the one I currently use.
