Almond Smells Like Maraschino Cherries

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this? I think both the Taylor's Almond and Harris' almond smell a little bit like maraschino cherries.

Interesting. Not to get too far off topic, but most cherries that are used as an ingredient (such as in ice cream) are bleached completely white and then dyed the appropriate color (maraschino = red, etc.). This way a "more attractive" and uniform look is achieved. Now that you know this completely worthless fact, we can return to the topic at hand.:001_smile

I am a veritable fountain of completely useless facts! If it doesn't matter, I probably know about it.
