All members read this: Shipping via paypal = free tracking

B&B Community -

A recent discussion occurred in the Never Ending PIF thread that I thought we could all benefit from. Member: Drocu made us aware of PayPal shipping...something most of us were completely oblivious to. Along with cheaper prices, they provide free tracking. What is required from us as end users is a scale capable of weighing the package to be shipped. I've done a screen shot of the post, and included a link below. It may be a good option for you to consider when shipping packages...as the point was made in the thread, we ALL enjoy tracking that package we are waiting on!

Here is the complete thread of the Never Ending PIF post #6754

Thanks for reading. If you use it, feel free to post your experience - we'd all love to hear!

It's called MultiOrder shipping.

It's not really hidden so much as it's a feature not very many people use. It's on the account summary page as a link on the right hand side every time you're signed in.

It can be a little confusing because it opens it separate windows or tabs. Sometimes several windows and tabs.

You don't necessarily need a scale either. If you use flat rate boxes, "if it fits it ships."

The thing is, and I've been told this a couple of times at the post office, the postage label you get from Paypal is blurry. It doesn't always print clearly enough for them to scan and if you tape over it they have even more trouble with it. The post office doesn't like to manually handle packages and if you print your own postage, make sure it's clear and on white paper. Also make sure any bar code or string of numbers isn't taped over- even with clear tape. That can reflect their scanner and kick your package out. Every time they have to enter information by hand because your package didn't scan on an automated conveyor it gets delayed.

It is convenient and I use it to ship things all the time. I print my own postage for irregular packages and I've only had a problem once where all my stuff came back to my house. I picked the wrong rate table in a menu and printed media mail postage by accident instead of first class. You will need a scale for international packages and irregular boxes.

No problem.

I think it's good to know it's out there and it is a discount plus time saver.

I know it can be a little complicated though. My wife can't figure it out and has to ask me to do it every time she needs postage.

It is nice not to have to wait in line at the Post Office anymore!

I tired this out with my recent sales on the BST, and I will be using this method from now on.

Thanks for the tip

If I ever planned on using the USPS for ANY shipping, (besides bills and stuff) Id actually take the time and learn this.......Im a fedex man now. ;)
