Aleppo soap being produced again in Syria

No idea what was said, but thanks for the beautiful images. I love how they stacked that stuff to make curves.
Wish I was there to load up a suitcase full !
I saw a film a few years ago showing how this soap is made. They poured the liquid soap onto a smooth floor covered with plastic sheeting and let it harden. Then, they used a tool similar to a farmer's harrow to slice the soap up into bars. The bars were stacked and the soap was aged for several months. Supposedly, this is similar to the ancient process.

Those soaps (made by the Pearl factory owned by Talal Anis) are sold in Europe under the brand Finigrana.
