Aleppo Soap as a Shampoo

I have just used Aleppo soap as a shampoo this evening, my hair is a bit dry but I will see how it goes as I have been SLS/SLES free for body and face washes for around a year after only using soap. I now just need to cease SLS/SLES for shampoo and conditioner, the natural shampoos in the health store are quite expensive especially here in Holland. Has anyone experimented with soap as a shampoo?
