What's new

Ahhhh.....Proraso

Using Prorase soap but same result! :D I use some Lucky Tiger Dissappearing AfterShave Balm for extra extra menthol.

Dr. Bonner's Peppermint soap in the shower is nice too.

Our air conditioning was dead last week and the temperatures were high. I aborted my normal soap rotation and shifted to "all Proraso, all the time". To celebrate I changed my avatar to the always-cool Proraso dude. But I was using the soap, not the cream.

Well it's obnoxiously hot out here in CO, Weather Channel says 95 but my car read 101  So needless to say after 18 holes and mowing the lawn I'm roasting. I took the puppy down to the creek for a cool down, and when I got back home I decided to shower and have a shave. I haven't used Proraso in awhile so I decided lather it up. All I can say is man, I forgot how awesome the cooling sensation of that cream is. Until this heat dies down, I'm going to be using A LOT of Proraso.

It has been 35 Celsius with high humidity the past few days, Proraso is the most pleasant part of the day.

I have fallen in love after trying Proraso, well C.O. Bigelow in this southern heat. Definitely a new favorite for the summer.

Flip side? Some 2degC mornings in Melbourne and I still find myself reaching for the Raso.

Menthol, Winter, Chilly mornings and a DFS as you confidently walk into the office.

The Italian Job of shaves.

Is there anything better on a hot summer day than a shower with Bronner Peppermint soap then a shave with Proraso? I tend to only use proraso in the warmer months and switch to Kiss My Face cream in the colder months.

Our air conditioning was dead last week and the temperatures were high.

Had a similar issue myself until I had to give in and have the AC unit outside replaced. I would wait to shave at night time, after a cool shower, and the follow up with some Proraso cream and A/S. During my shower, I left the pre/post cream on my face to try and assist with cooling off.

The only cream I've used so far is Proraso (Bigelow), so I'm probably spoiled with the nice tingle. I do enjoy that, so I'm sure it'll stay in my normal rotation even in the winter.

Another noob here. So far I've been using Proraso (CO Bigelow, but same formula) for a few days after starting with regular "gel" and the difference was mind-blowing. So far the only other shave cream I've ordered is Proraso Sandalwood, so at this rate I'm not sure I'm gonna try anything else for quite awhile!

*EDIT: I gotta try me some of that peppermint soap, too! Living in Florida is bad enough with AC, I can't imagine what you guys have gone through with no power!
