Ok, it's the end of civilization as we know it. You opened up a small box you had buried in the back yard. Inside that one box is your favorite pipe and two tins of tobacco. What tins of tobacco would they be and just for kicks what pipe would be there waiting for you?(it can be a pipe you own or want and whatever tins you desire. There will be matches and a tamping tool inside.)

This is a total moving target for me, but for today I'd have to say I'd be happy to find a vacuum sealed jar of the aged Bullseye Flake I stoved, and a tin of Penzance.. and even though I've yet to smoke it, the custom-made Moretti bent Rhodesian would be the pipe. HOWEVER, I'm very glad I don't have to make such decisions!

Is this some sort of Zombie Apocalypse to just a regular old failure of the power grid, or nuclear winter?
If it's just a run of the mill break down of society a can of Hal O The Wynd, and a jar of 2015 would be great. If I'm infected by a zombie virus something with lataika sounds like it would be more to my taste.
Either way I'd like to smoke them from this.

I'd have to say the 2013 BB LE, a tin of FM, and some Shortcut to Mushrooms.
I'd go with some sort of ridiculously over the top meerschaum pipe, so that I could smoke it to hell and back without fear of messing up the briar. If it's the end up of the world, I'll probably be smoking like a chimney.
As for tobacco? Dunhill Nightcap for the yummy nicotine (seriously after having it last night I'm going to have it constantly stocked for the end of time as is) and a tin of Penzance, which I haven't had yet but I figure even if I don't like it I can hunt one of you guys down and trade it for your entire stock of tobacco.

I would have Esoterica Pembroke and Penzance along with the B&B 13 LE and an Altinok LVC Meerschaum (this is the only item I don't currently own). I think those 4 items would help me deal with the trouble of zombies, killer robots, nuclear fallout, etc...

That's good thinkin' all around.. meer is a practical 1-pipe solution, and having the mother of all trading stock is definitely a smart plan. If the zombies come, I'll rethink my plan!

I am in the same boat- I agree with all of this, and definitely need to add the LVC to my small collection.

We're talking big tins right? I would go with one blend I've had and love and one I really want to try (still need new and exciting things even at the end). The biggest tin possible of Peter Stokkebyes Luxury Navy Flake and the big tin of Frog Morton Cellar (which I've never had). The pipe would be a nice thick walled, but not too large chambered briar. Maybe a high-end Peterson. I'd want the smokes to be relatively short so I could bug out at a moment's notice and not waste too much.

Yes, thank you for the recommendation. Halfway through the bowl I started to get a huge nicotine rush... and it was delightful.

After some careful consideration I believe I would hurry some escudo and penzance. With of course a meerschaum. I really enjoy the effects of aging on escudo.

Well, I have my tobacco already stashed for that time. There are almost no tins, but I do have shelves full of 4 ounce mason jars filled with McClelland 2015 and 2010. I have not made any tobacco purchases since 2007.
