I suppose you couldn't go ATG with that qshave, right?

Could be a few possibilities.

1) Wrong blade used. In my case, I couldn't go ATG with my Gillette platinum and SS. But with Astra sp, it was performing like it should.

2) Lather isn't thick enough which means it's too dry.

3) Wrong razor for you. In this case, try the other razor you have.

4) ATG simply isn't for you. Some people simply can't do it.

5) You are pressing down too hard.

Just to add, I used this little monster for more than a year, everyday, before jumping ship so I know it pretty well.

Also, because of the ridiculously large head, it's simply quite hard to get a clean shave on certain areas. You might just want to get another razor if it keeps giving you grief.
