Aftershave and lotion

So I really enjoy using aftershave splashes, however they usually leave my face a little dry afterwords. To get around the dryness after the aftershave has dried on my face I will put a tiny bit of cetaphil lotion on my face. Does anyone else do this or is this a big no no?

If it works for you... go for it.

I typically "doctor" my aftershaves. You can also mix/blend aftershave balms with your aftershave Just posted about it yesterday so you can read that thread

The end is.... If it works for you... Do it... There is no wrong way that feels good

I'm with Mick on this one--do whatever works for you. However, if you want an inexpensive way to boost your splash's moisturizing power, get yourself a bottle of glycerine (available at drug stores and big boxes for about $4.00/6 oz. and add JUST A COUPLE OF DROPS to your splash (best if this is done to a decant, since once you put it in it's impossible to take it out). It gives an otherwise-drying splash a great amount of moisturizing (and it's what a lot of the most moisturizing splashes and balms use, anyway--at a fraction of the price).

Either way, enjoy!

Definitely consider the simpler route and just go with an aftershave balm or lotion. Also you could use an aftershave without alcohol as alcohol dries the skin.
