The shave was at least as good as the Gillettes. I'd even say a tad better. BBC, zero irritation and not even a red pencil dot. Yes, they were the smudged blades. Hot towel/Prep pre-shave, Barbasol Aloe with Yaqi synthetic with Aliexpress $7.95 razor (beats my 1967 Super Speed by a mile!).
After using GSBs and Nacets I tried a Lab blue again.

You know when you find 'your' combination everything is just coming up roses. The Lab Blues are just lovely blades for many people, and I am glad you've found a razor that it works in so well for you.

I don't recall them being any big deal in my 1967 Super Speed. Got nasty chin cuts with that razor too.Good man!! I really like the Personna labs: sharp, smooth, long-lasting!

A new (to me) razor means that I need to reevaluate my blade options to pick what works with that razor.
