ATG is always my last pass, and STEEP, Doug. I've attempted to explain how I do it above, probably not too successfully.
Stretching the skin with the guard (pressure) and allowing the blade to cut just at skin level behind the guard (hardly any pressure) at the same time takes practice. That's one of the reasons why I keep my shaving white belt (SWB) on at all times.
