Advice on how to shave Adam's apple and surrounding area

I have real troubles with my adams apple. I nick it every time.

Any advice on how to get that area without having to swallow and hold, while I try to quickly, and haphazardly get it shaved?

Check out some of geofatboy vids on youtube. I recommend a technique he describes, pulling the skin in either direction to move it off the adams apple to get a smoother surface.

I always use the "hold swallow" technique. If you think of how you swallow, when you are at the halfway point and your tongue is on the roof of the mouth you hold that position. The adam's apple recedes. Hold it while you shave and no issues.

Pulling your skin is a good idea. Also, a very light touch is what my adam's apple area requires.

That seems to work for me too. I have not had a cut or weeper in that area yet (after 9 months).
