ADJUSTABLE APRIL '23

Why aren’t we allowing adjustable razors that have interchangeable baseplates like the Rockwell 6c? That seems fairly arbitrary! I shave on nothing but adjustable since I really like to get that perfect feel, but at the moment I’ve switched from a Merkur Futur to a Rockwell 6c baseplate 3, because it feels just a little bit better than any setting I could find on the Futur.

The idea of not including razors with interchangeable baseplates in this event was to focus this event to "classic" adjustable razors. That's about it.

But hey, perhaps AA might give you a reason to use your "classic" adjustable razors again... perhaps you'll be able to find a sweetspot with them, too...

I believe technically those are not adjustable razors. Just multiple plates to change.

Adjustable April 2022 was interesting, enjoyable, and instructive for me. I will use some of the same razors this year but probably not all of them.

01 April 2023 It looks like I am first up!! I'm opening my account here with my Tatara Muramasa and a new Wizzy. I really love the look of Muramasa and Tatara's attention to the small details on it. It's a bit mild for my personal preferences so today I'm coupling it with a Wizamet on its first use. Its a Saturday and I have an early start so I wasn't chasing a close shave and ended up with a perfectly respectable DFS. The rest of the gear is Lea and a Rubberset 400 with a Grey synthetic Oumo knot. Have an awesome Saturday. Haul out the Adjustables, lets see some of your toys...
