So is this a bill for your state sales tax, or your state tobacco tax? Or both?

That’s good, at least. Some retailers report your purchases for the purpose of calculating your states tobacco tax. That’s an ouch moment. I got a bill from my states DOR for one purchase I made from Iran Ries—IIRC it was something like 78% tax on my purchase price. Ouch.

Oh no! I know some retailers have bowed to pressure to report sales. Hadn’t heard of SP doing it. Sad.

Really don't have much choice, if they want to remain in business and not get shut down.

I'm really, really glad I built up my cellar when I did. Although very modest compared to most of you seasoned veterans of the pipe, if I never bought anymore, I probably have enough to out last me. Prohibitive tobacco taxes would shut down any bulk buying for me, which is just what the tobacco Nazis want. I'll still buy more tobacco here and there as long as I can.
