Today's shave with the ATT X1 Slant, Feather Pro Super blade combination was very good.

Last night’s luxury shave
RazoRock Hawk V3OC
Schick Proline P-series (3)
Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
Simpson Wee Scot 13mm badger brush
Pre-shave: about a minute of waterboarding with a warm shave binky
Lather: Col Conk Unscented, face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with cold shave binky
Post-shave: Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream

Mixed results! Boo-yaa! May have under-loaded the brush a skosh or went too crazy with the water, but it was a slow shave.

Started in with my non-dominant hand and its associated side per usual and moved shallow ATG chasing the popping sensation. Seemed slightly harder to do, required repetition, could feel edge-to-skin bumping, and smelled blood (not a metaphor for anger — a heads up for weepers before they’re noticed by my peepers).

When it was time to switch the razor to my dominant hand for the other side of my face, my remaining whiskers were soaking in lather longer and I had a fool idea to revisit skin stretching.

It worked! The left side of my face was shaved even closer and with no weepers. Something to repeat next time.

Razor: Razorock Hawk V3

Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink SE, 6th use

Brush: Razorock Italian Barber Synthetic

Bowl: Captains Choice Heavyweight Copper Bowl

Preshave: Proraso Blue Prebeard Cream

Soap: Palmolive Cream

Aftershave: Fine Barber Blue Aftershave

Balm: Proraso Blue Balm

Additional Care: Shave Tunes Courtesy Of The Rat Pack
Additional Care: Wife Sniff Test = Not Too Bad At All

This weeks theme is long forgotten. Like many on here I have loads of soap that doesn't really get to see the light of day over my favourites. So this week I am starting from the back of the cupboard and working forwards.

Today is the turn of Palmolive cream. Cheap as chips and I love the smell. Always a good performer the only thing it lacks is residual slickness but for this price who can complain.

They don't give these suckers away!

I carefully read the return and refund policies.

Hope it arrives soon. ACtober is dwindling down.

I kinda doubt I'm going to like it better than the X1, but I'll find out.

Happy shaves,

Jim
I hope you like the Ti Vector but, if you don't, I respect the fact that you actually try razors for yourself and then determine if that particular razor is for your face/skin/beard.

Please remember that the Ti Vector is a sports car. There is not enough weight there to let the razor do the work for you. You have to "drive" it, using a judicious (but slight) amount of pressure. Good luck, my friend. :)

Thanks, Dave.

Heck, there's barely enough metal to cover the blade, and it's a light metal.

As long as it is intuitive and predictable I should be good. That doesn't mean I have any idea what I'm getting into, but their shipping is fast so I soon will.

Happy shaves,

Jim

I'm really interested to see what you think of the Ti Vector. :)

Better brush loading. Over exuberant skin stretching. Wasn’t religious about keeping the lather wet. Result of close-but-uncomfortable. Wel…. I hear there could be a next time. Gonna chase the popping sensation to victory.

Today I found some Lea menthol lurking at the back of the soap hive. Very good with no issues.

Body shop Maca Root today. I used to love the first incarnation of this, unfortunately either my standards have risen or this newer version had gone backwards. On a par with most tube creams now.

Last night’s luxury shave
RazoRock Hawk V3OC
Schick Proline P-series (5)
Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
Simpson Wee Scot 13mm badger brush
Pre-shave: face wash with liquid soap and a splash of cold water
Lather: Col Conk Unscented, face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: hot shower
Post-shave: Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream

Tried cold water. Tried multiple passes with a cold water rinse between each one. Tried steep on one of the WTG passes and the ATG pass. Forgot to use guillotine stroke/Gillette slide on steep ATG pass with regret. Better shave than the night before and the three passes were quicker. Didn’t chase the popping sensation. D’oh!
