Hey everyone,

First post on here so will head on over and introduce myself to everyone else after making this post.

1. Your Country of Service - UK - Royal Air Force - 20 years - now retired from military service and working in the weird and wonderful world of business aviation.

2. Your branch of service - Engineer

3. Your Rank / Rate - Squadron Leader (Retired).

4. Your Military Occupational Specialty - I trained as an engineer and served for most of my career with Tornado GR1/4 strike attack aircraft - about half of the time on operational squadrons and the rest in HQ appointments providing support to Tornado aircraft ops in one form or another.

I was based at a handful of UK bases plus a tour in Germany - and of course, plenty of operational detachments around the world and a couple of trips to the desert on ops.....

5. The name and something about a Duty Station at which you served - well not a station but my favourite squadron - No 14 Squadron (Tornado GR1s) based at RAF Bruggen in Germany on the German/Dutch border. The Squadron mascot was a 10 ft Indian Rock Python named Eric that lived in the main squadron building. It was always the most junior pilot's 'secondary duty' to be OIC Eric and make sure he was kept fed, warm and clean - whether you liked snakes or not!

Happy to have found this place - looking forward to learning how to shave properly after all these years.

1. Your Country of Service - USA

2. Your branch of service - Navy

3. Your Rank / Rate - EM1

4. Your Military Occupational Specialty - Electrician at sea, transportation manager ashore

5. The name and something about a Duty Station at which you served - Currently serving at NMRTC Camp Lejeune, but also served on the USS Harry S Truman from AUG2016 to JAN2021

5. Camp Pendleton, CA. Introduced me to San Diego and the SoCal life and the mild seasons. And Mexican food! I ended up moving here after my EAS and stayed. Although I miss New Jersey where I was raised. I live in Los Angeles County now but someday would love to get out of here.

Hi all!

I served in the United States Army. ETS'd in 2000 as a CPT/03 13A (King of Battle!). I spent most of my time stationed at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX in the 4ID (3-16FA RGMT) but was deployed for Operation Intrinsic Action (Kuwait) and did an NTC rotation as a gun platoon leader as well.

I've been a member at B&B since the mid-2000s but I haven't been back to the site for years - just came back today after picking up my DE again and wondering how this place was doing!

5. The name and something about a Duty Station at which you served.

I was on the commissioning crew of Coast Guard Cutter Glen Harris stationed in Manama Bahrain. We primarily worked for the US Navy Fifth Fleet conducting maritime security operations. It was a difficult billet as the optempo was high and unpredictable but very rewarding.

I'm currently Active Duty and love what I do and feel fortunate to be able to do it. I intend to stay in past my 20 year mark at the moment. Not sure how long passed, but for now I enjoy the job and believe in our missions.
