Acquisitions July 13 - 19

This was actually late Saturday but I'm counting it for this week.

We went to some different antique shops this weekend. I'd scouted them out and found one overpriced mug and brush set. I was ready to leave when LSW calls me over and asks me if I've seen the shaving mugs. I told her I hadn't. She points to a pair of Old Spice mugs

I like these style mugs. I pick one up and...

a wrapped cake of OS shave soap is hidden inside. :w00t::w00t::w00t: I have a great wife, I tell ya.

This stuff has all arrived in the last week. I've been through a long (and expensive) RAD attack and although it seems to have subsided, I am feeling a real desire to expand my cologne collection.

Acquisitions have been relatively quiet for me as of late. This week I picked up:

1 puck of QED Sandalwood and Rose Shave Soap!!!
1 tube of GFT Limes Shave Cream (I know, I know, do I really need more limes?)
1 tube of Derby Lavender Shave Cream
1 tube of Speick Shave Cream

This week I bought three Gillette razors.
They arrived today:

I think these are all very well known and familiar razors?
Did some internet searches and might have been able to identify them.
But any help and suggestions are very much appreciated!

I think this is a Gillette Tech (ball end) from around 1965:

This, I think, is a Gillette Goodwill:

And finally, this could be a Super Speed from the early 1960's?

All are made in England.

So far this week, large bottle of C+S No.88 which was split with two guys here, very nice scent. Going back tonight to C+E and see what is left.....

Today I received what was described as an "old Gillette razor" so I clicked on that "buy now" button and I got it for 25 dollars shipped to the U.K.

Little did the seller know that this is actually a gem! ( I kind of felt bad, but again, is not my fault that the seller didn't do a research beforehand, right?).

Anyway, here's my lovely 1953 Y3 President.

Some before and after shots.

PS: It came with a Schick blade on the head which sadly produced some tarnish (I was able to get rid of most of it)

Nice razors!

1. British alu Tech (a bit aggressive)
2. British Fat Handle Tech
3. Flare Tip Rocket

Got this today paid $10.47 total with shipping from Ebay. I think that is an awesome deal just looking for some verification. I just wanted it to shave with and nobody had bid and poof no I have to find blades and try this thing.

I just acquired a Savile Row 3120 silvertip badger brush from a fellow B&B member. Thanks, rsp1202!

Looks to be a worn razor and at least one endcap is missing. But if the exterior of the case is half as nice as the interior, I figure it was worth the $10.50!! Hopefully it is a shaver grade Diplomat!
