I was watching that one, but did not bid. It looks like a nice Milady set. Enjoy it!

I have a similar Lady Gillette, in pearl rather than jade and with the NEW Deluxe head instead of the New Improved. Are you thinking about using the head with a different handle? Sometime next week I plan to try mine with a BRW handle, and see how it shaves.

Picked up a couple of straights and a scuttle (and a munted strop)

The blade on the wug seems nice, but there is some movement in the pivot, and the scales are a bit warped. I think I'll re-scale it before I get it honed (which a member here has generously offered to do!

The Dorko, has similar scale issues, but the blade looks a bit warn to me. Your thoughts?

Scales are pretty easy to straighten with a bit of hot water. Just did several and they came out arrow straight.
Yeah,, seems to be a bit of wear on the Dorko, but that's just my opinion. Love the WUG, I really like that style of blade. I also love the scales on both of them. Interesting looking with the inlays and 3 pins. Very cool. Congrats.

Good day at the antique store.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to it getting here. Dad died in 2009 at 91, just seemed like the one hole in my group.

The red case is for a British #58. Looks to be in quite nice shape.

I know some of this isn't shaving related but these are sharp pieces of steel so some of you may be interested. The top knife is a bradley mayhem balisong (butterfly) knife, the razor is a GIGANTIC 19/16 GB and anchor marked blade (thank you Grump) and the bottom knife is a pro tech brend dagger. I made the scales for the razor out of a red and black micarta.

Sometimes the silver golden lining comes with a cloud. This beauty turns out to be...

...one ugly beauty.

I suppose it makes sense. The gold is in such great shape because the original owner barely used it. And that happened because the handle split wide open. I am less sure why the case's tray is in such bad shape: maybe from sitting open in an antique shop for too many years. Hundreds of potential buyers have probably picked this razor up, turned it over, and then put it back down.

Never mind: it was a good deal and I can use the head with a BRW handle. I did try to stabilize the crack with epoxy, but it will never win any beauty contests.

I've got a few of these Kewties but noting in the original box and case. Funny little things. I do have another Ender but this is a slightly different model. Very unusual blades that go in these razors. I also have quite a few Ever Readys and this one is in nice condition to replace a duplicate in a case. The King is an odd piece i didn't have and according to some references is somewhat rare.
