Anyone know anything about this maker? It's a Lucite Bottom/Ivory colored plastic Top brush. It looks to me like silvertip and it's quite dense for a vintage. Says Abraham & Straus (then a Dome) Pure Badger Set in Rubber Sterilized (then an E in a Diamond)

Nice lookin brush.I like the handle profile.
Abraham & Straus was a high end department store chain similar to Macy's. In fact their parent company (Federated Department Stores) bought Macy's in 1992. The Abraham & Straus name disappeared in 1995 when all their stores became either Macy's or Stern's.
Bottom line, someone made the brush for them. For sure it was before 1992 (and probably way before that), since that's when they underwent a total merchandising overhaul.
Unfortunately I don't know who made the brush.
Edit: Actually I seem to remember that the E in a diamond was associated with Erskine.

I recall that myself, strange though as the other Erskine Badgers I have seen were pretty unimpressive.
