About H2O

I was scraping the white, crusty build-up out of my tea kettle and it occured to me that the same crap was probably happening in my kidneys. I bought an Aquasana filter rig for my kitchen sink...no more build-up in the kettle and I think the tea tastes better. I went with Aquasana because Consumer's Report gave them a good review.

Well, at the risk of someone writing that it's not a good thing to do, I'm going to post it anyway. At our house, we use distilled water. We don't ever have to clean the coffee pot of mineral deposits, it prevents "floaties," and it makes smooth coffee.

I first heard of using distilled water for coffee from a guy who lived in my community for awhile who at one time sold water filtration systems. Why he recommended DW I'm not for sure but I sure like the way it makes coffee.

Our tap water isn't that great for coffee. We have a faucet filter for our drinking water and sometimes we use it for coffee and it's not bad.
