What's new

a triple threat of firsts

First time with a long handled Super Adjustable
First time with Gillette 7'Oclock Sharps (yellow package)
First(and last) time with Herban Cowboy Dusk brushless cream.

Didn't have time in the morning for a straight shave or any for that matter.
Got home, was going out with the girlfriend, and I had about 2.5 days worth of stubble, and was looking shabby.
Hopped in the shower, with the gear, and had a go.

Blades worked great on my cheeks and jaw, but tore my neck up, probably the "creams" fault, no cushion.
Had the Super Adjustable cranked to 9, which worked OK, but was a little different than a Fatboy at 9.

I liked the longer handle quite a bit.

This was, by the way, my first DE shave in about 3 months or so.

Edit: The shave cream left my face feeling "crunchy" terribly drying, and nothing ever drys my face out.

I haven't used my long handle in a while, mine has the black plastic on the head from the 80's. It is about a setting or so milder then a Slim or Fatboy on the same setting
