A thank you to the membership

Thanks to any and all members (especially the moderators) who post countervailing points about an item's price or condition in BST sale threads.* While 'nice razor' and 'great price' are friendly comments that are easy to make, a less than adulatory remark takes some fortitude. While I have never seen a positive comment about a possibly undeserving item or deal draw criticism, a member who writes a comment that is perceived to be negative often receives public rebukes.

With the preponderance of items/deals at B&B being killer values it is easy to assume all BST offerings are great deals. In my mind this makes the skeptical comments more valuable than the positive ones and brings balance to the BST:yinyang: So a hearty cheer to those of you who are looking out for us newer and less knowledgeable members.

Regards
DC

* this thank you does not apply if the 'questioning' comment is not made in good faith with the best intentions. If the comment is made for less than noble reasons then you get this :cursing: instead

I think cases of inflated pricing, profiteering, etc. are few and far between on B&B. It must happen as I've read complaints, but I've not experienced it. I'd bet anyone who lacks the funds for a decent starter set needs only to say so and they'd be flooded with offers.

You're welcome! The moderators are usually better recieved when THEY comment on an item's value or price or condition, and you're right, sometimes (although not ALWAYS, just sometimes) when members do the same there wil be some backlash. If you feel an item's sale price is optimistic or overly inflated, I'd urge you to contact the moderators via PM and ask them to look into it, if you're worried about any sort of rebuke.
