A starter kit for a good friend

I am catching up with a friend tomorrow evening- we worked together for a number of years and still keep in close touch. I have put together a DE starter kit for him: Merkur 11C, Derby Blades, Green Pond Sandalwood Shave Cream, Harris Sandalwood AS, a Baier badger brush and an Alum Block. Is there anything else that I need to toss in the kit to get him started on the right foot?

+1 to the styptic. Different blade samples? Not everyone gets on with Derbys, could put them off.

Thanks for the thoughts Gentlemen. I guess that we are covered for hardware and now it is just a case of seeing if he enjoys the process and wants to ride the learning curve (crosses fingers).
I will try to give him a nudge in the B+B direction, but he is not a native English speaker and may feel more comfortable in one of the German-language fora.
I will report back when I receive some feedback.
