I am finally making good progress with my Feather AC. Weepers are a minimum, shaves are smoooth. I'm pretty sure that in another week or two, I will be as comfortable with this razor as I am with my DEs. So what's the problem? My first slant is on the way and I know I will be tempted to give it a try asap. But I don't want to slide back down the Feather learning curve. Recommendations?

I'm a confirmed Feather and Kai straight user, and I also do DE shaves at times with the slant now becoming my go to DE. Since I only shave every 3 or 4 days, I'll usually use my slant for the first pass, and then the straight for the second and any cleanup.
That solves your problem. Give that combo a try and see if you like it. You don't have to wait days between shaves, you can do it every day. DE first pass, and straight second. You don't have to give up on DE shaving either. Sometimes a DE shave is just whats needed. Just experiment around a bit. After all its your shave, and that's all that matters.

Just use the slant on weekends and start shaving every day!
