A sample sold me

I was at WCS a couple weeks ago. Indulging my addiction. They had a puck of MWF and I asked if a sample was available having heard so much about it. They didn't have any so they cut me off a couple small chunks. I used a cheese grater and put in in a bowl and pressed it and packed it. Found some great advice on lathering "The Fat" and was sold. Didn't have any issues with the lather at all. Made another visit yesterday and picked up a puck. Was tempted to get it in the ceramic jar but could see this stuff traveling with me so I bought a $3.25 frosted jar. WCS is great and sometimes give samples away with orders. This was a case where it generated a return visit that resulted in the soap purchase...and blades....and bowl....and aftershave.

How may others have been sold on product from a small sample?

I'll buy some Proraso red after I use up some of the soaps I already have because I liked the sample I got from Garry's sample shop. I almost didn't even get the sample because I didn't think I would like the sandalwood scent, but I'm glad I did. I like the red better than the blue and the green.

I've got about a dozen samplers to work through but so far I've only made a purchase based on the Proraso Blue cream and ASB. It's almost certain that after trying these samples I'll buy a coconut or almond cream by TOBS, DRH or GFT, and 50/50 that I'll buy one or more of their others too.

I'm sorta half way in the boat on this. I purchased a sampler from Mystic Waters, and I especially love the Orange Vanilla - smells fantastic in my opinion, and this will lead me to purchasing a puck after I'm all out.

I bought QCS Esquire soap because of a sample. I've since used the entire puck and loved every shave with it. I will probably replace but need to thin the herd a little first.

GFT creams, TOBS creams, T&H creams, Mike's soaps, QCS soaps, Penhaligon's creams.... are all samples that turned into purchases for me.

Not very often. Usually a combination of B&B posts and ma wee tiny brain spinning yarns convinces me I cannot do without a particular product. My question here is, why is there not a MWF Lovers club? Going to start a thread now to come up with a classy name like LOSER has.

Thanks for sharing with us and props to WCS!!:a14:

I have a good rotation of soaps/croaps and creams, but will deffinatly be giving MWF a try as soon as I run out of one. I always notice that it's one of the most mentioned soaps when someone asks the what's your favorite? Or post your top 5 soaps type of threads.
