What's new

A recent arrival in the world of soap

More of a floral, woody, citrus, musk scent.
It's an aromatic fougere. I pulled this off of Wikipedia: Fougère is one of the main olfactive families of perfumes. The name comes from the French language word for "fern". Fougère perfumes are made with a blend of fragrances: top-notes are sweet, with the scent of lavender flowers; as the more volatile components evaporate, the scents of oakmoss, derived from a species of lichen and described as woody, sharp and slightly sweet, and coumarin, similar to the scent of new-mown hay, become noticeable. Aromatic fougère, a derivative of this class, contains additional notes of herbs, spice and/or wood.

Examples, in addition to Tabac, are Brut, Skin Bracer, Canoe, Polo Blue, Clubman Pinaud, Chaps, Drakkar Noir, etc.

Of course, the description above doesn't really help you unless you experience many different examples of fougere scents and develop an appreciation for them. That's a long-winded way of saying, purchase some and give it a try, and keep an open mind.

I personally like the scent.

Interestingly, the company makes no mention of tobacco (note/accord) in this blurb, nor in the pyramid:
