I got this beauty recently. It's a ball-end made in Canada that I got on the Bay. It has 1932 stamped on it...and Made in Canada. I would appreciate any feedback I can get on this.

They are somewhat mild shavers made in a Gillette plant in Canada with a patent date of 1932. Does it have any other numbers?

No other numbers, Alex. Top left corner = Pat. Canada. Top right says 1932. Bottom right says: Made in Canada. Bottom left is diamond gillette logo w/ arrow.
I bought it from a cat on the Bay and it has a black "irridium" plating.
IIRC a Tech with slotted lather holes was made post WWII like ones made in the U.S.A.
Irridium plating is thought to cause loss of sleep. Users tend to post questions at 3am about their razors.....

You should enjoy using your Tech. They are excellent "daily drivers" as they are rather mild. I have four Gillette Tech razors. All with different handles.

It was a rather long day. It just didn't seem to end.
I haven't actually shaved with it yet. I got it in my initial purchasing flurry a few months ago. I've been trying to ice my technique with my Merkur HD. I'm going to throw a blade in it and give it a go this evening.

So I shaved with this one a few days ago, and was EXTREMELY mild...so much so that I found myself trying to "dig in" with it. Bad idea. I got the worst razor burn I've had since I started DE shaving. I also found that there is very little margin of error with the angle of this shaver. I may try to use a Feather in this one later.
But I'm actually waiting on a lot of razors I won on the the Bay the other day. Pretty excited about that score.
