What's new

A rare or unusual DE? Please share here.

G'day Gents,

I've been collecting DE's for a while now and have purchased a number of items which I don't hear about or see much on this wonderful forum.

I cant be the only one out there who enjoys looking at all the incredible variances in DE razors around the world?! As such, I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to any unusual or rare items that you may have come across. Please add photos and a little info about the razors posted.

Thanks in advance :001_smile

I thought I'd start the ball rolling with my Blue Tip Rocket and my Gleaner 2-piece OC. If any one out there can shed some more light on these razors please do, as I would like to learn more about them. From what I can gather, the Blue-tip Rocket was the British version of the Blue-tip SS and there doesn't seem to be many about for some reason.

The Gleaner 2-piece OC was produced in Sheffield England. I find it an efficient, aggressive razor which takes a bit of time to get used to.

Is plus side more aggressive? Or is it just a name?
Apparently its more aggressive but tbh I don't really notice much if any difference , having said that I haven't used it that often.
Of note is that the blade gap is big , more blade gap on this than on my Slim set to 9

SOS Razor

It came as part of a job lot of OC's i bought from France, a year or so ago.

The head is similar to an Old Type so it will probably shave well.

I might finish cleaning it up and use it one day!

I've got a Leresche #35. It's head looks very similar to an old type, but to me it shaves much smoother. It's a beautiful razor, in my opinion.

This is a good idea for a thread. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has out there!

Hi,

Or Unusual without being all that Rare. Say, any variant of a Fasan Double Slant for example.

I find myself increasingly attracted to weirder and weirder razors. My RAD is not dead, it is just mutating.

Here is my latest find:

Here is one I didn't buy, but should have:

Finally, this is not mine, but I have one pretty much like it:
