What's new

A quick head count

I doubt it. I regularly visit Australia for work a few times each year. Each visit is for 1 to 3 weeks and each time I am further reminded of why there are much better societies to live in. My brother left and lives in Japan. My sister left and lives in Israel. The other two most senior engineers in my field have also left.

Australia is now just too stressful to live in. Too much regulation. That also makes it almost impossible for a small business to complete in the international market like I have to do.
I like it. As they say YMMV.

Auckland, New Zealand!

In case you wondered, that's a Tui on a Bottle Brush - ie Kiwi bird on a flower from the west island! :biggrin1:

I am now back in AU. Came to work on a project here for a NZ client. Arrived, two weeks quarantine, two weeks work and now trying to get permission from the AU government to leave the country for my next assignment in Korea.

Australia and PRC are the only countries that I know of who currently require their citizens to get government permission to leave their country.
