A looming question (sorry)

I'm curious why loom strops aren't more popular. I can understand the reasons for not using the small ones. Is it because there are not many larger ones available? The Livi ones sure look nice.
One old post referred to the loom strop as a gadget, and I agree, compared to the simple strop. But who doesn't love gadgets?
Anyway, I plan on trying one, but I'm surprised they're not more popular.
I'd love to hear some opinions.

Even with the adjustment knob, loom strops can curl. Therefore, you might have to readjust every couple of days. I'm not a big fan of stropping already. I don't need another thing added to it.
