What's new

A little help from the Gillette pro's please

I have this razor and I'm afraid it's been put together from parts. I haven't been able to find it in the charts online. Maybe someone can let me know if this is a real Old style or just a nice-looking franken-razor.

To me, the head says Old style from the 20s (102A ???) With the thin top cap to boot. But the fat handle makes me wonder.
So what is your opinion?

You have an Old Type head on a fat Tech handle. It's a nice combination that I see quite often. I think guys bought a new razor after their old handle split and liked their original head better.

Looks more like the fatter/thicker Old Type cap to me, mounted on a Fat Handle Tech handle. A Frankenrazor. Brilliant shaver — that’s all that really matters!
I believe you are right about the cap. I was mistaken. The 102A is the thicker cap.

So we agree then that this is an old type plate with the thick er cap but on a new type handle.
It's really a nice shaver. I have to put together a few parts and come up with two correct razors.

If anyone else has any comments I'm listening.
