A guess what PIF

OK, this is my first official PIF. the rules are pretty simple.

1.) Correctly Identify what is in the picture below
2.) Must be new to straights and have at least 100 posts (vets, let me know if this is too strict?)
3.) Post your answer in this thread.

I will contact the winners this evening as I am at work and have limited time.

The picture is of a well know wet shaving product.

The first two members that correctly identify what is pictured will recieve one of the two razors below. A sheffield of unkonwn make & a Genco Fluid steel. They are by no means lookers, but they both shave damn good. Both blades come in around 9/16. Both are shave ready.

That is MWF which has been through a drying and rehydrating cycle a few times.

Definitely looks like some sort of dried-out shaving soap... can't say with certainty that it's MWF, though, as I've never even seen it, let alone used it.

Can anyone verify that I can keep this shave ready for at least a couple weeks by just stropping on my jeans or a piece of newspaper? I want to try it before I start looking for all the other straight razor paraphernalia.

I would suggest Newspaper. Cheap plentiful and no worries if you slice it up.

Just make sure to stretch the newspaper or jeans around a towel rack, to keep it taught and it should work fine.

You'll have two shave ready straights. Hope my GD / (i think) CNAT edge doesn't get too shamed by the other one. compare them and let us know what you think. It's always good to hear of improvements we can make.
