I hope the guy that got this score is one of ours and he knows what he just bought.

Unless I'm very wrong this is the rare early '50's rhodium US Executive in an Aristocrat case. For $78. Unfortunately I've got a big bill to pay tomorrow so I didn't bid. But I thought it would go above $100 even in this condition.

I was watching that one, but didn't take the time to properly ID it (thought British Aristocrat in wrong case).

If I had bid, I wouldn't have won. Trying to cut back a bit (it's been a busy, expensive week, with some small and a few big wins on the 'Bay, most with "Big" in the name

That was me, Len! Oh yes, I have wanted one for some time as I had snagged a very nice Exec case months ago. I'm hoping it cleans up, especially the doors, but it looks to be in overall nice condition.

I'll report back when I get it!

Thanks, Jon - sometimes these things happen quickly! I only identified the razor earlier today and had passed over it at least once because of its incorrect Aristocrat case. As you know, they don't pop up too often so I'm glad it didn't get ridiculous.

That's great, Bill. I'm glad you got it. When you get it and clean it up please posts some pics. I think that's a great score. I had to copy one of the sellers photos to verify it was made in the U.S. Sure enough it was and had to be an Exec.

Len, I did the same thing since at a glance it looks so much like the British #21. I'll clean her up and share photos soon.

Take a look at the BIN set on the bay right now (search "Gillette Executive"). I've also seen several other examples. The set originally came with 50 blades! Two foil wrapped 20 blade dispensers stored under the mirror plus one clear wrapped 10 blade dispenser in the main compartment.
