What's new

A few moments of silence please for my bottle of Co9T Times Two-Not Good)

The first product I have finished completely is my bottle of Captain's Cat O' Nine Tails Bay Rum. It's something I use daily, even if I use other products or even if I'm using more Bay Rum products. I like to finish off the shave with the nice warming sensation of the Captain's Co9T.

So yes, it's great to have finished the bottle. I had ordered another bottle a few weeks back in anticipation of finishing this bottle off. I gave the new bottle a nice shake, opened it and took a whiff, and finished off my shave. As I went to put my bottle of Which Hazel back, my hand grazed the bottle of Co9T, I watched as this happened almost in slow motion, the bottle teetered, then fell down on the counter, then proceeded to roll off the counter and onto the tile floor. CRASH!! The bottle completely broke and all that wonderful Bay Rum all over the tile and soaking into a bath mat.

Mind you, this happened at 6:00 in the morning, so I'm still trying not to wake SWMBO. So I grabbed a small broom/dustpan and went to sweeping up the glass and what liquid I could. Finally got the glass up and still had plenty of liquid on the floor. I grabbed a mop and got it up and did my best to reduce the BR smell emitting from the bathroom. It is a wonderful smell, but when it's so potent, it can burn the eyes a bit. Just as I finished cleaning up, how convenient- my Wife comes in to ask what happened and if she can help. She knew right away from the smell, what had happened.

So there it is, I went from finishing my first shaving product- to now polishing off TWO products.

So I ask we take a moment of silence for the two bottles of Captain's Co9T that were finished today.

Thank you.

I'm sorry for your losses. The loss of one favorite aftershave is terrible in itself but two must be unbearable. My thoughts are with you during this most difficult time.

Dantheman,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this most difficult time. If you are in need of my services, I would consider it an honor to give your bottles a proper sendoff.

Thanks, gentleman. Great to make light of a sucky situation. But alas, The Captain continues to make the good stuff, so more will be had....no worries. I'm not one that's afraid to push the "send order" button at our fine vendors. So more burning, warming, smelly goodness will be in my Shave Den very soon.

Thanks again!
