I need to make a snap shot of a mosquito drinking my blood. That's the only creatures, other than biting horseflies that frequent my backyard.

No sorcery or witchcraft Just point the lens at the bug and press the shutter really, I was shooting at 420mm so was a fair distance away, which stopped me spooking them too much.

Forgot to say what settings I used. Full manual, f5.6, 1,250-2000 shutter and iso 400-500

Great detail, especially with handheld shots. I need to think more about upping the shutter speed when taking outdoor, handheld shots.
