While I have not been at the DE shaving thing for very long, (3 months) I have decided to settle on a great soap.
I had given up on trying to use soaps and was on the cusp of deciding to just keep using the Proraso cream and leave it at that. I really wanted a soap though that I could find locally so I would not be beholden to the 7-10 day shipping times every time I wanted to get some soap. Lame...maybe, but I like doing business locally anyway.
Anyway, I melted VDH into a shaving bowl (it melts like butter BTW) and put in a few drops of Tea Tree Oil.
Once it cooled I tried it out.
Amazing!
I cannot say enough about how great this soap is now. The Tea Tree oil smells great and is a natural anti bacterial agent.
I love this soap now and I think it will be my main soap, while the Proraso will, of course, remain my cream of choice.
have you ever customized a soap? What with and how?
