What's new

....a couple of travel brushes

This past summer I bought C&E travel brush when a local store closed, got a good deal on the brush. Although the brush is not that bad, I wanted something better, because when I have to travel, I will enjoy a nice shave, too. I made myself a new brush with a faux horn handle and a 18 mm Silvertip Grade A. Great little brush, quite the face latherer (which I started since I use this little brush). This little bugger fits perfectly in the C&E travel tube.

The other brush shown (next to the 7 o'clock pack) is a similar brush, but with a faux tortoise handle (also sporting a 18 mm knot).

Rudy,

Those both look great. I have that same knot awaiting a handle. I hope mine turns out 1/10th as nice.

That faux horn and tortoise really are top notch handles...perfect form too.

Thanks for posting these...

really nice brushes, Rudy!

love the tortoise shell....

It is the first handle I turned from this material, it is semi-transparent, so the hole for the knot is visible, as opposed to the faux ivory and horn or wood I normally use. It is, however, an interesting look.

Nice looking brush ... I have a Vulfix Silvertip that also has the same size case, and I love it dearly.

And I own one of the C&E travel brushes, too, in faux ivory. BTW, what did you do with the original brush that came in that tube? I wouldn't mind having a spare, if you'd care to sell it.

Thanks for all your kind words, I am thinking of making a few and offering them in the Vendor section here soon - keep your eyes open!

Even though I want to make on of these....I am going to keep my eyes open in the Vendor section....

This has to be my favorite of any brush you have made Rudy.
