Found in my mail today this sweet gift from Highball, sent unsolicited and unbeknownst to me for the benefit of my collection. And no, I did not have one before! I don't consider myself a blade collector, but now I am!!

I got my first straight razor from Mike last month and he just rehoned it for me for free this week. He also gave me feedback on my stropping technique based on how the blade looked when he got it back.

I am very happy to pile on this thread! Mike is one of the best! I've bought several razors from him, including my first straight. Mike knew I was curious about straights, and offered to me the same one that was his first, at almost half what he could have sold it for at fair BST pricing. I loved giving it a go, but unfortunately the straight isn't going to work for me. I was so inspired by Mike's generosity - I forgot to mention that he also sent me, on a separate occasion, out of the blue, a gift of a cool little open-comb that I haven't seen anywhere else - anyway, I was so inspired by Mike's generosity, that the straight is going to show up very, very soon along with a bunch of other goodies in another "interesting offer" that several of us are putting together.
