Brother, I am having a very difficult time not being jealous of you! Beautiful place you have!
Lol, thanks.
My oldest son said I can't make him work...I advised him one benefit of divorce is his mom has a house he can stay at.
Gave him 30 days to get a job, not one application... he got the boot.
30 days later I sold his car, and his gaming PC.
The following month his bedroom became my home office/whatever room.
I think I'm growing into it nicely!

You may not have my office, but all of the razors on the bottom two shelves on my bookcase are looking for new homes ;)

Brother, that tough love is hard on both parties.

My son has been a hard headed man since he was 4, lol.

He got a great deal on the house next to us, bought it (you think I'd see him ONCE in awhile) when he was 20, is married now at 21.... Let's just say I was babied a LOT more by my folks than he was. My wife raised him right, I just jumped in as necessary, which was hardly ever. I deserve NO credit.

But it sure is hard biting my tongue now that he doesn't ask for much advice. Ya NEVER stop being a Dad I suppose...

I wouldn't change a thing if I could go back, but I often tell my friends who decided not to have children the same thing... hung jury on whether or not it's all worth it. I'm envious of folks who just get to worry about themselves.

Seriously !? - you are a dad !

And there is me thinking you were a B&B bot and an annoying one at that 😜

Take care friend.

Excellent Shave Den @SgtCrppls ! You have been refining it for a while to get it where it is today. You have a really nice soap collection. Which is your favorite? I have been feeling the need to add another soap.
My absolute favorite is pretty expensive
Ethos Vanilla Safi it is $185.00 for 7.5 oz
MDC’s, Ethos, a really good one that is not real expensive is Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep & Varen

How I am measuring a great soap is if I can go over areas without adding lather using a Sharp Timor blade and my face is not red after shaving and still hydrated by the next shave then that is a great soap.

Ha! We were told by Docs that we were both infertile. After 11 years we were surprised with him. I was a pretty bad but fun Dad. We had all these plans for early retirement....I used to tell my son he'd better get rich quick because he was my retirement plan!

Ask for advice?? As a dad, it's part of the job to provide advice whether they need it or not-eventually, they always need it! plus, you have to give them some good stories to tell their kids!!

Good point.

He IS smart enough to at least listen to advice. It's funny. I'd like to play poker with him. I think he'd give me a run for my money.

He was homeskooled, and I'm glad: he developed a great ability to reason. He had kollege level classes in Logic, in the second grade. (That's not sayin' much for kollege today. Trust me. I took my last prerequisites about 15 years ago. That'll make you either pray harder for those kids or swallow a barrel of a gun.)

He's hard headed. If he stays out of jail he'll probably be President someday! Which truly ain't saying much for this Kountry. Lol, be VERY afraid!

No matter how large, how small, how seemingly complete your den, in my case tarp over a rope, may be, something will always pop up here that piques your interest. I was content for years using a very old badger and whatever soap, often Williams, was at hand. Other soaps grabbed my attention, and now I am really taken by Martin de Candre. This year it is Vetyver. I thought after about thirty years my brush needed updating. Several brushes later I am using two badgers with different colored handles. My razor selection evolved and has been quite happy with Above the Tie Windsor. Likewise my blade selections have evolved, but something WILL come along. I am smitten by the idea of the Rex Konsul. If I yield, this would be a big step towards moving out from under my tarp and into a den. It would be my first acquisition that was likely to be an addition rather than a replacement. We shall all watch your ventures @SgtCrppls to see what snares you!

So @Jmp63 and @SharpieB and @Tirvine this is where I am and where I think I am going.

Left to Right Starting at top row,

RV handle w/ Declaration Grooming B14 26mm
Morris & Forndran “Gus” Ebonite 28mm Finest
Duke 3 2 band silvertip
RV handle w/ Mozingo ZT4 24mm
Mozingo ZT4 28mm
Mozingo ZT3 24mm
Morris & Forndran Heritage II, 2XL 28mm Blonde Badger
Graydog handle w/ RV installed Muhle STF 25mm

1956 Redtip, my birth year
Ti WR2 SB 1.35 w/ Timeless Ti Crown 👑 Handle

I am just using Grooming Department & Ethos Soap.

I have a Varlet & a Wald A1 on the way.

Brushes I will be selling more than likely are:

Mozingo 28mm ZT4, I prefer the 24mm
Duke 3 2 band Silvertip, the knot 🪢 is great just smaller than I prefer

Once the Varlet & the Wald get her I will see which brushes I use most often and
may choose to sell a few more, would not mind getting down to 4 solid brushes in my den
one of them being a synthetic.

There you have it, probably more than you wanted to know. 😂😂😂😂
