99% Aloe AS Gel - WOW

It's Aloe. Not too difficult to find pure aloe vera, or grow it yourself. Pure aloe is VERY sticky BTW.

i realize what it is, and grow some myself too. however, this is apparently a different strain and as such im referring to this product in particular.

Yes aloe is very sticky and thats why i have yet to put it on my face as an AS :)

I personally love aloe in aftershave. If you look at the ingredient list for these gels they all have thickeners in them. It has been my experience that raw aloe comes out sricky but exposure to air will bring it to near water consistency. You can buy a jug of the stuff from Walmart for about eight dollars. Look in the pharmacy area. I mix about a tablespoon of it into a 100ml bottle of any a/s splash that feels a bit too drying as is. Yes you need to use enough of the a/s to make room for the aloe. I also use the plain juice as an a/s with good result. I would love to have a custom aloe based a/s splash with all the right stuff plus a great scent added.

Cheers, Todd

I have been blending in Aloe and Glycerine into my aftershaves for a while now.

Just remember NOT TOO MUCH... otherwise you get a nasty sticky after feel on your face. A few drops is all you need to mellow out the alcohol in the after shave product.

I use a combination of witch hazel, aloe, glycerin, and essential oil for homemade aftershave balm.

That's why I originally purchased these products (for making "home brew" after shave) but I find that a few drops of each in commercial after shaves makes them more enjoyable to use.
