Not my birthday, my Mom’s.
So instead of the old type that I have been using for weeks, I shaved with that one heirloom razor I have, my maternal grandfather’s Canadian Tech.
He joined the army some time in 1942 before my mother was born, and I think it’s likely he got this razor then. Very likely he used it on that day he became a father 80 years ago, a much younger man than I am now.
The razor is loaded with a Lord Super Chrome blade with an indeterminate number of shaves already on it. DR Harris Marlborough soap, and witch hazel and Speick to follow. An excellent smooth shave.
