7/8 Henry Sears and Sons1865 No 386 Before and After

I found this in Iowa last week, real rusty but edge was clear of significant corrosion. Took a chance and here it is a Henry Sears and Son 1865 Manufacturers No. 386. Not sure what the 386 stands for? Blade is 7/8 and heavy with thick spine and tail. Replaced scales with another set I had on hand from another smaller razor. Enjoy! Today, Tuesday 9/22 I shaved with this razor for the first time, wonderful and silent. I love these bigs blades!

Lots of rust damage to the top left, used plenty of x-strokes and surprisingly very shave ready, HHT etc. I thought at first I was going to have to take a lot more off but it settled into a nice edge. Back side went a bit easier.
