What's new

'60 Fat Boy modded with Krona doors.

I bought this FB on another shaving forum for a song. I guess the original doors were shot so the guy put some Krona doors on. It's cool...seems to be a tad more aggressive than my stock FB and is much easier to use under the nose.

I sort of feel like I bought an old Cadillac with a Lincoln engine in it or something...you get the idea.

I am really excited to see this, sounds great. But, the pictures are not showing up for me and if I try to open them in a new tab I get this message from B&B "Invalid Attachment specified":crying:

That is not bad at all. However, if you ever want to revert to the original doors, let me know. I have some spare Fatboy silo doors.

Growing up my dad had a '79 Lincoln Mark V. I've only had my Krona for about a week, but my first thought when I unboxed her was that the angled doors remind me of the headlight covers on that big white boat.

Tell me I'm wrong!

I usually don't thread revive, but WOW, that looks cool. I use to have a Krona, I can just imagine the shave of a Fatboy Krona... Hmmm don't want to ruin my Fatboys, but this is tempting. Looks really cool too.

I agree and if it works; Go for it!

It would be even cooler if it had the doors that had the words Schick and Krona embossed on them.
But it's pretty cool as is.

Gillette should have used Krona like doors on all their (later) TTO razors. Their shape makes the razor automatically find the correct angle on your face. But I'm sure that Schick patented something about that head profile, preventing Gillette from using it.
