50th shave today!

Had my 50th wet shave today. It was a pretty crappy, str8 shave - it's still hit or miss with str8s - but overall, it's been a breath of fresh air and a wonderful ride! You gents have been very helpful as I learn this new skill. Thanks!

Good work! I didn't get bad shaves at ~50 but some were average still... It will get better eventually!

Good work! I didn't get bad shaves at ~50 but some were average still... It will get better eventually!

My DE shaves are nice and smooth (other than one spot on my neck ) but I kinda suck at str8 shaving as I've only had 5 shaves with one so far.

Agreed! I'm still working on figuring out stretching correctly. My biggest problems are not being ambidextrous enough which adversely affects being able to shave WTG on my stupid neck.

I'm not ambidextrous either when it comes to straight razor shaving. As your comfort level increases, you ability to compensate increases as well. Soon, it wont' matter so keep up the good work.

There's this one spot, by my adam's apple, I can't seem to ever get it smooth. Only took 50 passes, but I finally got it really, really smooth. In fact, it'll be smooth until the skin grows back!

Yeah, it felt very strange using both hands at first but it then become more natural.

My cheeks were pretty good, so that's awesome. Left most of my neck in the sink.
